This was my 1st visit to NY. My cousin recently moved out there and we went to visit her. We met by the Empire State Building and walked around to find a place to eat. We ended up on Korea Way(32nd st). Many of the places looked busy and we had 3 kids with us so that wasn't going to work. We came upon Shilla. It didn't look that busy so we went in. The front is small but they have a whole back area too. We sat up front and so the fun began! The waitress was so nice about getting my son a high chair and relocating my stroller. The food was awesome. We had kalbi, bi bim bop, mandu, and shrimp fried rice. The wait staff was so nice and we felt like we didn't have to wait long for anything! Our evening was a great one thanks to Shilla!

I'm giving it 5 stars because their Black Cod dish is ridiculously good. I've had it several other places but Shilla has the best I've tasted yet. Sorry I can't be of any further help since I can't say anything about the meat - I'm not a beef or pork eater...

My favorite place in the U.S. for Korean BBQ! The Kalbi is flavorful and there is a huge variety of sides. Also important: they offer sesame leaves along with the lettuce for wrapping the barbecue...
